I see alot of people commenting on how this song is speaking about a religious figure but really this song can relate to anything whether it be religious or not. You can make music your own story. Although Christ is usually refered to as a saviour, literally it is someone who saves and that could be anyone: you, me...even Spiderman. You could even be your own hero

This song is so helpful to me right now.
my girlfriend and i recently broke up and i went into a bad depression, but hearing this song, breaks off my chains of depression and lets me move on to the new happier better things in life.

Has anybody here seen the interview Much Music had with Lenny Kravitz.

Someone asked him about what inspires him, and he stated his spirituality is very important to him and the song, are you going my way was about Jesus Christ out right. IOW, are you going Jesus' way or not?

As a Christian and an artist, when you're mainstream, there is a certain tight rope you walk, to an extent, between a desire to praise God in what you do, and not hitting people over the head with it.

So, I think Saviour, and definitely I Owe You One is definitely about God, and LIGHTS will probably keep that to herself, because it is something personal to herself, but in turn, could be about anybody for the person who is listening to those songs.

Thanks, that song is really helping me out right now. I broke off a very bad friendship with someone, you're helping me focus on Jesus, and it's getting me through this very stressful and confusing time for me.

i love saviour i like it even more cuz wheni waz depressed when my boyfriend and me broke up i heard the song and it made me feel like nothing waz ever wrong and i could escape the real world and go to an other world of my own and not hav to worry and not be scared or sad and nothing wrong ever happen in my life and to feel better but when i had to came out i would dream every nite of it and hope that it would be my universe and not my dream and im still hoping for it and saviour helped me make it more real than what it waz before thatnk you lights i love your music and hope to hear more of it i hav been listening to it since i was 10 and i love it thank you

I'm involved with youth ministry in South Africa and came on her song on Facebook and then Youtube - the song speaks of needing a Saviour.. - is she talking about Jesus and is a Christian artist?
